On Thursday 17th November 2016 54 children from local Brighton & Hove schools, took a trip on the British Airways i360 as part of anti-bullying week. This national event coordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance shines a spotlight on bullying and encourages all children, teachers and parents to take action against bullying throughout the year.
The theme in 2016 was ‘Power for Good’ and to highlight this we were joined by pupils and staff from Longhill High School, Mile Oak Primary, St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School, Queens Park Primary, Downs Junior and Brunswick Primary Schools. Brighton and Hove Mayor, Councillor Pete West also came along and met with each of the schools
As well as taking a trip on the i360, each child was encouraged to paint one of our “Safety Rocks” with their idea of what ‘Power for Good’ means to them. These rocks will be displayed in the grounds of our office at the Emmaus complex in Portslade.
